Must Remember!

Today is 9-11. A day, we as Americans must never forget. The attack on our country and the lost of so many of  family members. It was a day that made us wake up as a nation and pulled our families closer together.. It made us see that tomorrow is not owed to us. We must let our family know each day that we love them and need them. What a way to wake up. But I am wake today and I say" God bless America and keep my family safe."
Thank you Lord!

My 60th Birthday party

Wow, this is a big one for me. I woke up feeling grand. I am pleased. 60 years of age. All I can say is SSS. (Sassy, Sexy, Sixty)
I always loved that my birthday falls in the summer time. All my parties have been outside in the yard with cook outs and outdoor activities.
All ways lots of food and friends.
My children and grandchildren around me is the biggest gift of all.

Party, party, party!

Happy birthday to me.

We walked as One.

I can say that this was the best walk for breast cancer I have ever participated in. They asked Alexander and I to tell our story of why we participate in the walk for breast cancer.
This is my 9th years and Alex's 2nd. We were moved by the care that is shown to each other and the genuine passion to raise money and awareness to stop this disease. IMG_6219 My son Alex scheduled his R&R from Kuwait for this weekend so he could walk in the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer (AWBC) for me. I was not able to walk this year because of my heel, but I still fund raised and participated as crew. Everyone wanted to thank him for serving in the military and wanted to meet his mother.I was so proud. I know this has been a memorable experience in his life and IMG_0250
we both will continue to be crusader until the end.

Christmas Morning

All is peaceful. I just watched the sun come up here in New England. It is cold outside, but it is as it should be for this time of the year. While I am having my first cup of Earl Gray for the day, I feel it is the perfect time to sit and send my Victorian friend good wishes. I wish you and your family peace and harmony for the day and the up and coming year.
With much admiration, Lady Estelle

Settling In to my new Job!

I was a little worried about taking this new position in the hotel. After working in Banquets for 23 years, It had become home.
But now, I have a new home. Welcome to the Concierge.
My first couple of weeks in trainning was a challege, but now it's like a new skin. I am loving the experience.
My responsibility is to assist the platinum and gold key members to a great start breakfast and send them on their way happy.. I greet them very early in the am around 6. I give them a healthy breakfast with a smile and good wishes for the day.

It is quite peaceful setting up in the morning. I am the only attendant and it feels like home. This is the perfect job for me and I am settling in nicely.
