Happy 4th of July

I wish all of my friends and family a happy 4th of July. To me this really feels like the first day of summer. Most people take this time for their vacation, all schools are officially out for season and every day one must spend the time trying to keep cool.

Also, what  I love is that my garden is in full bloom.

                                                                         All is well!

A Loss of a Child!

Losing a child is a mother's worst nightmare!
I have always heard that saying and hoped I would never have to feel it.
I am now in mourning for the loss of my granddaughter, Jazmine Barada Tucker, 29 years of age.

She was the oldest daughter of my daughter, Gloria M Barada.

Jazmine was raised by my sister, Elizabeth Tucker in Boston,
She leaves behind a young son who will be cared for by his father.
She also leaves behind her only sister Jayla Barada Tucker.

It is a sad time for the Tucker and Barada family.
May she rest in peace with the Lord and may our family grow closer together in strength.

Just Live and Enjoy Today!

After I turned 50 years of age, I had decided I was going to live each day as if it was my last. I will do all the thing I had only dreamed about. I was going to live, love and have fun. Life is to short to worry about tomorrow, just live and enjoy today! "Come on this life journey with me and experience the thrill" Lady Estelle T. Barada

Turning 65!

It is one month away from my 65th birthday. I feel good, I am happy to say.

I have been walking every day that I can, weather permitting.
I have given up on driving per Doctor's request. At first I was uneasy with that, but now I enjoy not having the uncomfortable feeling of not being able to see well from my right eye. I find I enjoy not driving.

Started back working for ONLY TWO days in concierges. So now, I am considered  semi-retired.
 I am still enjoying life.

Be grateful for what you can see.

On the morning of July 25. at the eye doctor, I was told I have advanced Glaucoma. I did not know how I felt at that time.. One minute it the knee, now it was the eyes. What's next???

So yesterday, I went in to have a second opinion at the ADVANCED EYE CARE. There I was told, I am almost blind in the right eye . The vision can not be restored. They are now trying to save what vision I have in the left eye to keep it. I can not afford to lose any more vision in this eye for I will not be able to see well. Meaning. I am going slowly blind. I was also told that I should not be driving. feeling emotional.

Today,
I have accepted the situation and moving on. I lean on my God for strength to endure and on my family and friends for support. I am feeling blessed. Thank you!

Next appointment in September will tell me if I need an operation or not. Just trying to be positive for now.
